P.O.B.T.R. 2025 Day 11
We woke up early in order to change campgrounds again, our final spot. First we stopped by a view-spot that held obsidian. I was already feeling out of breath halfway up but the view was very pretty. There was a glass menagerie of obsidian on the mountain, snow, and a pathway surrounded by rocks. I kind of wish I went all the way up but I was already feeling a little tired so I decided to head back. There was a big tour group of what looked like a bunch of highschoolers but turns out they were college students too, from Texas. I sat for a bit to watch the view on the way back down and got some nice pictures. After that we started the drive to Pendleton which would take around 6 hours. The car ride felt long but it wasn't boring at least, a lot of stories going around as well as sharing our music. We took the usual bathroom breaks and I was going to get an Oregon souvenir but then I remembered I used to live in Oregon and still visit it so it would be kind of pointless right now. I did lose a ChapStick so I had to buy another one that came out 3 dollars, I think I have around 2 more dollars left after that. At least that money lasted me so long and I'm glad I saved some until now. I should also really stop looking at my phone in the car, I think I was getting slightly motion sick again. When we finally arrived at the Harris park campground our reserved spaces were a lot smaller than I ever thought they would be. This place is more for trailer parks I think, there are a lot of tiny houses too. It kind of feels like a tiny neighborhood with all the kids and dogs around here. Seeing all the other dogs out on this trip has made me want to bring my dog camping out like this.
We found the best spot we could to set up our tents in our section and then we went to go set up dinner. While we were waiting for the food Kyal brought his cards he bought at the Sisters district and Raquel taught us new card games to play. Like spoons and old maid, I've never played these games before but they were fun. I want to teach them to my younger siblings since they're always wanting to play games, I think they would like it. It would keep them occupied for a long time. After we ate dinner we played a little more and then headed to bed since it was getting late.
